Pathway to the Worlds 2028
We are now planning the exciting return to Cowes of the Etchells World Championship in June 2028. The UK fleet is one of the core fleets worldwide and the American, Australian & European owners will be returning to Cowes in June 2028 to boost the local fleet above 50 yachts.
Working with the Royal Yacht Squadron, who will run the event, we’ve mapped out two open championship events at the same time of year – in July ’26 and June ’27 – to help competitors plan a three-season programme and make the Worlds 2028 a really significant event.
The UK class actively supports youth teams and we hope to have at least 10 youth teams in the 2028 Worlds.
