The Saturday of the event provided a south westerly breeze ranging between approximately 220 to 250 degrees with a strength of 7 to 10 knots.
Tango scored 2 bullets closely followed by Ada, leaving them tied on points at the end of day one. Further down the field results were varied substantially, leading to very close points gap for most of the fleet going into day 2.
The breeze on Sunday started light at roughly 5 knots from the North West allowing one race to be squeezed in before it dropped off further. After a long postponement the race committee was quick to move the committee boat and relay the race course further North when the breeze came in and swung left to become a South Westerly breeze, reaching 9 to 13 knots.
…. got us underway quickly to get two short sharp races in. Palaver (Greig City Academy) had a successful day achieving second place constantly in all three races, allowing them to secure second place overall, beating Ada (Jeremy Thorpe) by just one point. Man’s Best Friend (Oliver MacLean )finished in the number one youth and number one Corinthian spot after a solid performance on Sunday as well, managing one bullet. Tango (Chris Hampton) was the overall winner, with a large points gap between them and second place.
