We are thrilled to announce the upcoming “Champions of Champions Series” sailing events for the 2025 Season.

This series promises to be an exhilarating showcase of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship, bringing together some of the finest sailing talent. This year, the Cowes Etchells fleet will endure two competitive series, the Cowes International Series, and the Cowes National Series:

Cowes International Series – This is a high level international series, composed of the best events the Cowes Etchells Fleet has to offer, including the European Championships, National Championships, Sir Kenneth Preston, Bedrock Trophy, and more. 6 event will make this series that is dedicated to attract the best international Etchells teams from across the world. Of these 6 events, 5 will count towards a boat’s overall score to determine the International Series Cowes Etchells champion.

Cowes National Series – Alongside the International series, the Cowes Etchells Fleet will also be running the National Series, focused more towards the competitiveness of local and national teams within the Cowes Etchells Fleet. International teams are still very much encouraged to join us in this series, and promises to provide competitive racing for the Cowes Etchells Fleet, where we will determine by the end of the season the National Series champion. This series will also be decided over 6 events, with the same discard process of counting 5 of a boat’s best series scores.

A boat’s series score will be determined and scored against the sail number of that boat, if 5 or less events are completed in each given series, then the series score of that boat will be determined from those 5 events.

The Cowes Etchells fleet anticipates great competition to travel overseas from Miami, Australia, Hong Kong, and other world class Etchells fleets. The series also welcomes and encourages teams from other competitive fleets, looking to test their skills in both the Cowes National Series, and International Series.
